Songs to Help You Power Through Working From Home.

When it comes to working from home, the right song makes all the difference!

A person is sitting at a desk with a laptop and headphones on it.

Like many people across the country, the Flypaper team has been working from home since mid-March. One thing we’ve found that helps us power through our workday at home is music. Whether it’s old school ballads or new hits, music has been a big part of working from home for us. So we asked our team to share some songs that help them power through their to-do list while working from home during COVID-19. Then we had our Marketing Manager listen to all of the songs and write his initial reactions to each one. Enjoy!

Hypnotized - Fleetwood Mac
The title of this song was correct. The subtle beats and smooth voices made it feel like being hypnotized, but then again it could just be that we are on week five of working from home.

Life’s Been Good - Joe Walsh
We all wish we were sitting on the beach with a drink in our hands right now, but this song is as close as we can get given the current situation.

Starman - David Bowie
Every list deserves a bit of David Bowie and this hit is a great fit for a song to power you through WFH!

Hard To Forget - Sam Hunt
Disclaimer - this was my addition to the list, this song is the right mix of country, pop, and weirdness.

Good Life - Kanye West
When you are trying to finish a task list a bit of old school Kanye delivers just the right amount of motivation to power you through.

Good Day Sunshine - The Beatles
While working from home many articles suggest getting outside to take a walk. This song is the perfect soundtrack to that afternoon stroll.

Kick Jump Twist - Sylvan Esso
This song is a mix of video game beats and coffee shop vibes. I LOVE IT!

Dance Monkey - Tones And I
This song seems to be on the radio every time I get in the car. However, that doesn’t stop me from turning it up and getting my groove on.

Savage - Megan The Stallion
Working from home has caused me to venture into the world of Tik Tok and because of that, all I can think of when I hear this song is my lack of dancing skills. (See Below)

Starboy - The Weekend
This song is a couple of years old but I will still queue it up every time I see it on Spotify.

Time - Pink Floyd
This song takes a lot of “time” for the intro, but after it gets started it is the Pink Floyd we know and love.

Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue
This song used to get me hyped up before a game, now it gets me hyped up before finishing an expense report.

Tadow - Masego
I had never heard this song before, but it is safe to say I will be listening to it 50 more times today!

Dog Days Are Over - Florence + The Machine
This song is a classic. It's upbeat and makes me want to get up and dance, which I just might do.

Mr. Rager - Kid Cudi
I have spent my fair share of days jamming to Kid Cudi while knocking out tasks; the perfect dose of chilled out motivation.

As an added bonus we’ve included a Spotify playlist featuring all of the songs on the list (we even added a podcast that was recommended by our Vice President of Sales, Pat Eastburn!). If you have any songs that are helping you power through your time at home drop them in the comments.

Google’s search landscape is evolving, and with the rise of its Search Generative Experience (SGE), businesses need to rethink their SEO strategies. Unlike traditional search, which ranks results based on keywords, SGE harnesses AI to understand search intent, delivering direct answers, summaries, and interactive guides. The shift is significant, and businesses that adapt will be the ones who maintain visibility in this new search environment.
